Moonweasel's Progress Report, part 2

Post by Moonweasel »

Well, it's been nearly nine months since I painted my first miniature. I'd like to show off some of what I've done.

Close-up of Crashed Aquilla Lander (Warhammer 40k Battle for Macragge terrain piece).
I think I succeeded in creating a 'lonely, weathered wreck' feeling here!

Ultramarines Captain.

With a close up. The colors are a bit off because I ran it through Photoshop to be able to show more detail. I'm still learning the art of mini photography.

Although this is a photographic accident and not a good showing of a properly painted mini, I thought it looked neat enough to share.

WIP of a genestealer. I'm not too sure about this color scheme.

Thanks to all who take the time to look and comment!

aloha!
wreck is really nice but IMO you could add some painted damage like those on the armour of that mini https://www.coolminiornot.com/92432 ...As for the SMarine White colour needs some more layers ..ohh I like this gore effect on tyranid's base

I also like wreck the most but I'd likr to see more dust on it - it's a desert after all :D
You could do it by drybrushing model with desert yellow or khaki... that's what I'd do :D

Wow, thanks for the fast replies!

That Space Marine is inspirational. Thanks for the link!

And thanks for the tips, too. I'll post an update later on!

Well, it's been AGES since I've posted here! Hopefully I'll be less infrequent from here-on-out.

All of the following are my gaming models; nothing's done to showcase quality. Right now, I'm just trying to improve my basic techniques.

New stuff:
