I found my paints again and my GF's old cam which is way better than my new cam.

So now I can post a quick teaser ^^

Some basic shading and highlighting done on the left arm and torso. Need to do a lot lot lot more... but it's just to show that I still know how to hold a brush.

And a base I'm working on:

These pics are done very quick... because it's bedtime for me
I really enjoyed the painting though, maybe I can post more pics tomorrow.

Excellent work. I wonder what will the base look like when finished. But now the guy's skintone is simply great - smooth and rich!

The mini is from enigma: morznak demon of atrocity. It's a huge fig!! Roughly 7cm from feet to the head. The body is made from resin, head and weapon from white metal. I ordered this fig, while not really looking at the size, I just liked him. When I got it I was a bit overwhelmed by the size

The line in the center of the torso is too dark, but it'll be covered by the beard (lucky me) And atm I'm not too happy about the tree either, but I'll leave them on anyway. It's the first time I tried 'sculpting' a tree. It's not superb, but it's ok I think.
ATM I'm painting the base. I'm using the same colors for the skin as a base, and work my way up from that. I'm also gonna try to add a dusty/sandy look to it. The trees are supposed to turn out dead or dried out, but I don't know if I can pull that off :)

@ Demi: I like nice minis... small or large ;)

Thanx for the comments :)

Skin (all P3)

Basecoat: 50/50 bloodtracker brown + bloodstone

Shade: Bloodstone and adding exile blue for the deeper shades
Highlights: Bloodtracker brown and adding ember orange for further highlights.

The highlight's aren't finished yet. I'm planning on adding a touch of sulfuric yellow for the final highlights. (a less saturated colder yellow)

bit of an update on the base.

I have shaded and highlighted the rocks etc, but I the camera doesn't pick those colors up. The trees have only been basecoated with umber brown. It's a large base, and it takes forever to get all those cracks dry when I've applied a wash. I tried out the sponge on this base. Works pretty good. It gives me the effect I was looking for.

I think I'm going to work in some more colors tomorrow.

EDIT: Think I'm gonna cut down the trees :|

Don't make it too colorful. I actually dig the limited color scheme!
