I was wondering how do companies get in contact with the ppl who sculpt their minis & how much does it cost to get one done?.. does anyone have any info on this kinda thing?

Most companies have their own team of sculptors in service and to get them to do one of your mown designs is really hard and would cost you an arm and a leg!

There are freelancers out there which vary greatly in availability and cost. Look at sculptors if they might have an own homepage and send them a mail. You might get an answer...

May I ask what you are thinking about letting be sculpted?:)

It might also matter if you just want one mini for your own that will get painted or if it is something that would be cast and reproduced. No certain, but it might.

I have contact info for some free lance sculptors if you're really serious, but from what I've been told it is probably pretty expensive.

most of sculptors leave email address or some kinn of msn / pm possibility so interested person can easily get in touch with artist

Well Id like to know.. because the middle to end of next year I may be coming into a little bit of money. I was thinking about what id like to do with it & I want to start my own mini line. Nothing huge .. maybe something like Wyrd had done.. just a few minis the first year or so & adding more if the line takes off. I thought about all the stuff out & what ppl might like & what I like.. & came up with the idea for a cyber western theme for the first line.. as far as I know no one really has anything like that. But yeah thats my thoughts for now..

Hmmm, interesting for sure but if you want to do something like that then I suggest you put a bit more time into research and such.

Such things are not to be taken lightly, I am looking into launching a miniatures magazine and have been brainstorming for quite a while now.

If you want my help then just say so as I might benefit from the contacts too...

Oh i plan on doing alot more research into it for sure.. Im even thinking a about taking some collage class in business. Like i said in the first post.. its a thought I had & just need a starting point.

I love any help you might have to offer Skrit.. I could use all the ideas I an get.

Trovarion I dont have any art as of yet .. Im not the best at drawing but ive got a few ideas of what id like to do.. like a gambler type hot gunslinger chick Indian / centor guy.. stuff like that.. but if i get into this Id love to have a CoC person do the first mini.. & have it painted by someone here also.. I think that would be really cool.

So yeah thats my thoughts for now.. thanks for all the input & keep the ideas coming guys
