Yeah, I've got Reaper's Pearl White prepared for edging.
BOTH HANDS ARE STILL WIP, don't tell me the sword and psycannon (and left pad) look unfinished - because they are ;)

What does it need to reach lvl3? Freehands on cloths (planning the pattern ATM)? "lightning" on sword? Come on guys, be specific :)

Specific?

IHMO silver metalics look flat. They need shadows. Try tin bliz glaze, even some black. You could add same blue glazes to make it more clean.

Gold you could highlight on edges with mithril silver. I heard also that purple glaze make it look better. Shadows with tin bliz also would help

Sword - you could do something like that

Red - try highligth with orange

OK, this time Gerard got some paint love :bonk:

I bought myself a new lamp (with white light) and a tripod, these are my first photos done using both and with flash turned off. I like the effect - photos look better than the mini in real :mrgreen:

Tried painting some freehands. I suck at it, definitely :? - but it was worth a shot and mini doesn't look as dull as before.

Sooo... what do You think? :)

I don't really know why you aren'ty satisfied with the freehands. I like them a lot. In fact the whole mini looks pretty cool - except for one base: base covered with jelly/sauce/ooze/mucus/whatever....

freehand is nice indeed.
I think that mini is too dark for what you want to achieve with your crusaders (uber-righteous holy paladins, right?)

The base is my failure in trying to use water effect as Ańa did on Rhinox - i.e. making a transparent rectangle of "cut water". :?

I still think my freehands need a lot of practice (seen too many of Jeremy's works on pre-GD evening), but thanks for the warm words. Actually the one on the tabard indeed looks nice, it's the crusaders lily that suck.

@Nameless, the mini looks pretty dark on the photos. You've seen the guy on Bazyliszek, he's brighter ;)

@Demi: come get some :D

Rome wasn't built in a day, Tomash. If you're this good at freehands now, you'll be very good with a bit of practice!
