Okay, so I started a thread (thread link) in which I've asked others to offer input on my current product line and/or future lines. Specifically, what type of containers people would like to see the product in. If you can offer any advice/opinions on the matter, I would be most grateful.

Thanks very much.

PS - No, I am not packaging my products in tinfoil or suranwrap... I know it's cheap, but they're also all together tacky for packaging (my opinion).

Ok, the idea of putting some basic mixes of basing materials all in one easy kit is EXCELLENT. This is the type of thing I've been wanting someone to do so I can point beginners at it. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Now don't let me down on availability or customer service. ;)

I've been told by 8 members of my forums that the tins would be best suited for the products I offer. I happen to agree. Thanks for adding your opinion.

Seeing how I am not using Skullcrafts to get rich or make huge profits, I really don't see customer service ever being an issue. I'm pretty laid back, I don't have time to partake in arguments over dumb issues like "hey! you forgot to include green flock!". If you need green flock and I forgot to add it in, it's an easy fix...I ship you the flock at my costs. No need to argue. I package everything up by hand and take great care to make sure everything is done right. I have a triple check system that has not let me down yet. Sometimes mistakes will happen, I have no problems correcting them in a timely fashion. Really, I'm using Skullcrafts to help those who want it, I never had these options when I first started in this hobby 20 years ago. I simply want to help. If I make a little money in the process, cool. But profits will never be a driving force for me.

I'd just like to point out here that most items I offer are hand made. I don't go out and buy pre-made stuff and repackage it. I want everything to be the best quality it can be, made in my own shop. My dedication to helping out new, moderate, advanced, and master hobbyists is as strong as the day I decided to make a business out of it. This will never change for me.

What exactly is the leaf litter? I've ordered from other places, expecting those tiny little leaf things from birch seed pods, but have gotten dyed ground leaf bits or spices instead.

Very interesting selection there, nice to see such new shop opening. Tempting too :)
I was wondering, though, wouldn't it make sense to offer paypal for international buyers?
Would be also good to display some sort of table with approximate shipping costs to different countries.

All of my leaf litter is from birch tree pods. In fact, these trees grow in a graveyard, so they're full of soulfull mystical powers...er...well, they're probably what you're looking for anyway. They look exactly like miniature leaves, not crumbled herbs and spices.

Hmm...thank you.

Let's see...

LINK to International and USA shipping. Because of the rising costs of shipping, international is just plain ridiculous.

Also note that Skullcrafts accepts ALL forms of payments both foreign and domestic (paypal, visa, mastercard, discover, etc., etc.). The only exception is mail orders. All currency must be in US dollars/checks/money orders.

Trying to get more opinions...

Plastic Leaf Scatter
Would anyone be interested in using plastic (or resin) "cast" leaf scatter? The one major advantage to these is that they would ALWAYS be available through the store and not be "out of season". The one major drawback is that they would only have one useable side, the underside would be flat. Some other great advantages would be that they would come black in color, so you could paint them any color you wanted and then simply glue them down wherever. Another great advantage is that I could probably make them much more scale to 25mm-35mm uses as well as make varying types of shapes of leaves (IE, maple, oak, ivy, birch, etc.). This option would probably take me months to complete, but if it's something of interest to others I could definitely get to work on it.

Basing Item Decorations
Items???...yes, items. Like pumpkins, apples, oranges, flowers, beakers, vials, bottles, crates, cans, cups, skulls (psh...yes skulls!), tree stumps, vines, etc. These would also be cast in resin but I'm not sure if I want to pre-paint them or just offer them as paintable objects cast in black or whatever color. Would anyone be interested in these types of things?

Basing Inserts
What's a base insert? it's an exact dimension insert for the standard round bases. The insert is basically glued or placed inside the "display" (perfectly round to fit) area of the base and can then be painted and/or decorated accordingly. There would be several options like metal plates, paved road, cobblestone, flagstone, fieldstone, wooden planks, rocky terrain, etc. They would all have flat spots to place miniatures on and would all come unpainted/undecorated. You would have 30mm, 40mm, and 50mm inserts to choose from. Of course I would need massive input as to what types of things you'd like to see as inserts, but I'm thinking if the inserts help inspire hobbyists to complete a nice looking base...the efforts are worth it. I mean really, if half the base is aleady done, wouldn't it be easier to tackle rather than starting from scratch? What do you guys think?
