you CAN target him. Stealth says that attacks from more than 5" away AUTOMATICALLY MISS, not that you can't target someone from beyond 5". If you're using an AOE weapon, target Gorman at will. You'll miss, but you then get to roll for deviation. Blast damage can hurt Gorman.

unfortunatelly I cannot deny what was said in posts above:
although gorman can sneak to the enemy pretty safe (stealth + smoke bombs) and may be extremly nasty (rust aaand... BLACK OIL

) he also has strong alergy for templates of any sort: even deviated template catching him is almost sure death warrant...

but without templates or something to ignore stealth (Gun Mage Captain Adept, Eiryss, etc.) Gorman is a pretty safe guy.

He's a living model though, so Demi should lose 50 points from his army because he's not using all undead. I was shocked to find out he's planning to use Skarre soon. She's totally alive!

whoops yeah forgot about that a bit..; I usually target something easier to hit close to gorman with an AOE, and the only other shooting I have is widowmakers and kommandos...

Eiryss? How can she ignore stealth? I've thought P-Seeker isn't working against stealth.

G-Lords are useless against Gorman and mr. "Mageblight" the Bastard team

and Demi's voodoo magic makes this snaeky scumbag almost scatterproof.

yeah, that's interesting, the official FAQ and errata only says:
"Phantom Bolt ignores cover, cloud effects, concealment, obstructions, and intervening models."

I've just checked it once again to be sure

Eiryss can't target stealth models with the phantom seeker. I had to learn that the hard way when I started using her

@ Deco: Well then you have to use AOE's against that undead mageblight spammer

And since you're gonna start with alexia, you can send a risen to him and target the risen in the back for a easy hit (make sure your warjack started in the back arc of the risen) and catch gorman in the blast. Boost damage on gorman if you really want to be sure. If Gorman dies which he probably will, you have another risen to add to your unit to replace the one you lost.

Still your best bet is a manhunter I think. Stealth, pathfinder, camouflage and weaponmaster shouldn't make it too hard to smack that ninja alchemist.

Btw, I find it hard to believe that Gorman is such a game winner. In our games he is dead before he can do something usefull. Except with the old witch... got to love that smoke

gorman in not winner of each ane every game when I field him:
actually I don't mention situations when he dies with pathetic death before doing something (anything!) useful, or when he ran for the hills because deathjack parked too close to him...

IMO gorman is like a hand grenade: one use only, and with a proper use - deadly, but also darn fragile
