Calgar's Land Raider Painted

Post by Scibor »

This is one of my last commisions ( now I am working now with next one - crusader ). This is inspired by great Land Raider made by David Rodriguez. But i decide to replace freehand by relief.

Ok that just kicks @$$. You are an artist. Having the talent to make the relief (No matter how you do it, its still a skill) and the paint job is very well done. Will you be selling the Relief plates through your line of miniatures?

Very nice. For me is that kins of painting that is very effective, real eyecatcher. But is also so artificial, like from fairy tale ! Gold NMM is unrealistic but makes good hot tones. Scratches on so "new" and shiny blue surface looks also strange.
I really like those reliefs beside that they have many mistakes and look rough in few places. But painting technique that you have used for them is really nice and original!

I admire your work, because you still try to develop and show somethign new. Keep going!

P.S. I also will show "something" new on your minis :D I still remember about them

I like the overall feel of the piece, but the nmm gold doesn't work convincing for me, it could certainly use some stronger highlights up to white.

It's great. I like it very much. Scratches are cool.

say what you want, I don't care. i think it's one bit of a great model. and in many GD competitions worth a trophy perhaps. especially in the ones where bright paintjobs are appreciated.

I didn't expect anything THIS cool!

Thanks for all comments :)
I agree that nmm is not perfect ( i will change it in next one )
About colors - so what can I do :) ultramarines looks like people from Loveparade :) It is my first Land Raider I had some trouble to find good way for paint some parts.
I had experience in painting historical models but ultra marines are mix of battlefield damages and colors from power rangers :)
