Well can't deny that, does get everyone a bit more active on the boards. Which is always nice, I have built enough site to know any use of the forums is good.
I'll try glazing and repairing this hunk of metal tonight and tomorrow and share the results.
the lighting seems to dull the light hue of grey added to the crevices. The image also shows a bit of needed blending off to the right. Either way going for a purple/blue shaded tint seems a tad difficult.
I'm assuming that to lighten out to the color I want I should use a mix of 4:1 water / paint? Just wondering what you all use. I also am betting that an excess of about 20 layers is needed.
I use much more diluted paint but it's just a matter of practise and learning what can You achieve with glazing
that's time-consuming (drying time) but sometimes it's really worth to wait
