I once saw very similiar photo about ducks, but there when some guy noticed what happened he went down the manhole and rescued the birds;
it was nice;

about 2 weeks ago I rescued small dog from stupid old lady's fury it the park...

@Lai Thanks! They do this every day, and the Peabody ducks have their own full-time staff person devoted to their care and training and handling.
