Chaos Greater Daemon of Slaanesh

How to convert or sculpt a miniature? How to make a decent base or even a full diorama?!

hey, that's nice! :D
reminds me old-school slaaneshi daemons :D
the only thing I don't like it's tentacle-haircut :)

For me Slaaneshi models should have one breast. Sorry, but I am an oldschool guy ;)
This one lacks the aura of seduction, of temptatiom, which even beasts of Slaanesh should radiate... That's also my own vision and expectation of Slaaneshi minis.
And Demi's right - even dreadlocks would be better than these tentacles.

As for technical aspects of this sculpt, it's prertty good. I like the face, but not the torso. The stomach muscles are strange. They look like drawers not muscles - because of the sharp edges which are not smoothly blended, but rather sharply protruding.

I don't like the texture of his chest. You should make the surface smoother.

And I noticed fingerprints on some parts...

As for the pose of the mini, well, it's a bit strange. I know it's an action pose, but some more practice would help :)

Hey Samuel - call it a Greater Demon of Another God, it would look better than ;)
I actually like the tentacle hair-do. Torso is not ver good looking. Check stomach muscles, as Mahon has written.
I'm with Mahon on its pose, also. It's not completely bad, though.

@Mahon - fingerprint? Where? I can't find them.

As for now I could get really depressed, even think about finishing my "career", yet you guys have to remember that
not a single tiny part is made buy coping printing ...or any other method that does not need much, or at all work
this is all made by sculpting tools and clumsy hands, mixed with a vision, this is how I saw the demon....and how my abilities let me (yet it’s my 5sculpt)
I am not explaining my self, or any thing like that cause at this point I don’t wont to take any thing way to seriously do I, or may be just some of it , it also some times seems to me that
you look at it from a "painted model" perspectives rather than a fully created sculpt model, but, I can be really wrong about that...:)

don't make me laugh, Samuel. ;) I wouldn't be this harsh if you hadn't presented us your skills on other miniatures or parts thereof. I simply have seen your works in person and can see you're a talented guy alboe to do better than that.

As for the way you imagined it - there are numerous descriptions of Slaanesh and his/her deamons, so you weren't left without sources. If it's your vision - that's OK, but you have to live with the fact that whatever you do in your career there will be people who agree with your versions and these who don't... I love the old Warhammer background so would prefer a more 'classic' imagery... Still - tastes are very subjective..

As for the technical stuff. Grind your teeth and listen to them, that's the only way to improve. There are weaknesses in this sculpt, and try to avoid them in your future works. That's all.

And for your fifth work it's very good, trust me :D

EDIT: why did you add the comment about copying or printing? has anybody accused you of that? :?

Come on, Samuel - you're a very talented guy, but do not expect us to praise your works only because of that.
Most people would not sculpt like you even after 50 tries. And this is your 5th!
And rememember - people here have negative comments even about works of sculptors like Klocke ;)
We are honest and want to help you to improve. We are not saying your sculpting is crappy. But t surely can be even better than it is now.
