Painting gems made easy.
Hello all I am fixin up my entry for the golden demon compition in Chicago, I was wondering if asnyone had any tips on painting gems thanks in advance to everyone.

I applied the same technique on every gem this model has, you can see the effect clearly in the headgear of the horse. Red blue or green, the colour doesn't really matter, the technique is always the same :
start by applying your basecolour and work your way up to basecolour + white in one corner of the gem, highlighting the underside of the gem with a half - circle. After that, darken the top half of the gem abit and put a white dot on the reflection spot. done and done
