It didn't fail - it reminds me of Irkuck's silver NMM. For me it simply isn't shaded enough. I like NMM full of contrast. Other thana that the mini looks cool. And have you considered giving the black parts a dark wash? Dark purple or purple + black? Something Jakob Rune Nielsen does...

I really like color You chose for the armour and can't wait to see it finished :)
how is it to paint sth different than a dwarf? :D

Well its not a total failure then but like I said, it was more a first time thing - still learning.

Demi - Er odd. I had to adjust my tripod to the right hight, as in not the lowest possible. :P
