I like the gold in the Fantasy Monster category. The outside of the kimono with the dragon looks like it could be pretty impressive. Wish there was a rear view picture. :roll:

I'm amazingly un-impressed with most of the staff pieces. They're good, but... Maybe its just me?

And seeing what won the single figure LOTR I know I won't be embarrassed at Chicago. :D

Both. And the blossom tree is amazing. Where would you buy something like that?

@LadyEyes: Are you gonna do us proud at GD Chicago? :D

The tree looks like some sort of dried material... like dried flowers or something. You can paint those different colors if you're careful. I've seen spray paint and airbrushing used.

@Skrit: Only with lots and lots of help and ideas. I paint ok, but I'm terrible at doing the over-the-top details that win Demons. I just don't come up with those ideas very well, or when I do they're not dramatic enough.

@Dragyn -- Bah!

@ Skrit -- I have a single LOTR figure that is nearly finished. I want to do another entry, though. I am thinking about WHFB regiment, but would like to do something that would use a few less models if possible. I only have two months, and I paint fairly slowly. I may also lose some time to traveling. :roll:

There's no way I'm going to try a single WHFB or 40k figure. These are the hardest here, and are usually even harder in Chicago.

The real challenge with regiment, though, is the banner. I've never done a large, really nice banner. I'm not certain I'm up to it, and its a critical element. :roll:

So I'm up for ideas to consider. :D Just no promises are using them or doing them as well as the really good painters. ;)

No prob, let me look into the US rules what can and what cannot be done. P.s: Isn't the Monster cat. easier then for you? Only one (okay, a bit bigger I admit..) model to paint instead of several.
