certainly lacks something for me..........one or two standout pieces, but overall, IMHO, pretty poor.

this is a very poor painting competition :/ I've seen local gamestores get better competition. Angela Imrie should have won the sword btw. plus I think she's a total hottie :)

ridiculous.... :plzdie:

BTW don't you think that this:

which was entered as a unit was better than many single minis?
And on Warseer.com somebody wrote:Golden Daemon: "Ohh dear..."
We both entered models into the Golden Daemon, sure we weren't going to win but hey...At least we gave it a go! As the day went on the first cut was made and I noticed something very...very wrong.
In 40k Vehicle, a black Ultramarine landraider made first cut, but it couldn't disconnect from it's base. In 40k single miniature, a duel made it through...How rare...We were also later informed that judges would automatically pass an entry up if it had any metallic paint on it! Wow...No wonder no orks made the cut!
On the whole it was quite disappointing to see what the judges chose over other entries. Ahh well.

yeah the wood elf wardancer unit is painted better than the single mini and there's a whole unit of them. but still it's not good enough for a slayer sword :/

There are metallics on there, but if they were passing up models painted in metallics, I might have to cry. That blows out any chance I have of winning anything (as if I had a chance to start with).

Why does the judging have to suck so much? If only we had straight judges, I think we'd be much better off, even if the quality of the paint jobs doesn't match up with you damnable Europeans ( :P ).

Oh well. I'm still going. I'm still entering something. And I'm still going to not even make the first cut. I don't care. As long as I have fun with it, that's the important part, right?
