Khorne champion

How to convert or sculpt a miniature? How to make a decent base or even a full diorama?!

Not many conversions lately so I decided to put a photo of my new khorne champion.
Parts mostly from bits box and a little of green stuff :D

So what do you think about him?

it looks promising, but I would drop the brettonia helmet. Doesn't really fit IMO. I would make the chainmail tabard longer too.
The rest looks pretty good. Make him more chaosy though ;) skulls, spikes, chains...

Interesting mix of plastic parts. I do suggest another helmet though as ToMaZ said.

Looks good to me... If only I had that many fitting parts in my bitz box :-)
I would also join to ToMaZ with the helmet and the tabard. I have the feeling now, that he has too long legs compared to his body. This effect may go away with a longer chainmail between his legs.

Notice 2: His upper body is a bit stiff. Normally the spine has an S shape and the upper curve of the S is missing, or too flat. Would have been a bit better if the torso slightly leans backward. I hope you know what I mean :-)

The helmet... oh, you already know that? ;)
Power fist is not connected with anything. How does it work? Please, don't say "It is supplied by champ's life juices" :) I'd suggest some cables connecting it with the backpack.
Plasma pistol - I'd remove the skull. It makes the pistol looks like a power drill with a battery :)
BTW - on the first picture, it looks like a robot or a golem :)

Thanks for so many comments they are really helpfull :D
About helmet- I simply didn't have different one in my bits box and thought that some medieval style will look ok but you convinced me to change it
Tabard- I'll see what can be done hmm... maybe you are right it should be longer
Pistol- my first idea was to give him some flail instead of this pistol, maybe I 'll change it for this
Fist- aren't fists powered by 2 AA batteries??  seriously it's good point, I'll improve this
Pose- my first humanoid converted figure, need to study some articles about body shape :)

Khorne guy was collecting dust last few months but at least he is back on my work table. Here are the results after improvements

Next, here is a normal squad member on gaunt legs. I don't know if the legs aren't too thin. Maybe I should mount all the squad on warrior legs like I did with sergeant
What do you think?

Champ looks definitely better than first version.
Gaunt legs are too thin. While they would suit fine the unarmoured human, SM with bulky power armour, shoulder pads etc. and those legs looks funny. Try warriors legs.
