I'm not jumping for joy with the new IG either. Maybe they just weren't what I imagined in my mind when I thought about how Russian would translate to 40K.
But I think the hats are ridiculously huge (especially now that I have a good view of them), and they look floppy! Military hats shouldn't be floppy. If they weren't metal, I'd say they were headswap bait, because I dig them from the head down. But metal means that might not work out so well. I also refuse to beleive that we've seen the Firstborn (who are the stormtroopers for this regiment, or so they say) yet, so I hold some hope there.

Hats are ridiculously poorly sculpted. They're floppy, the fur texture is sloppy and crap, and the feathers are a dumb idea. (Who puts feathers on fur hats like these???)
The masks are stupid looking, and combining them with the hats looks worst.
The weapons look cool, but everything else about them I think are terrible. These aren't even up to GW's recently declining standards. Until someone said what they were I didn't even think they were GW minis.
