I started painting miniatures for D&D in the early 80's. Transitioned to scale models (mostly 1/35 Scale armor) through high school and college. I joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1998 and had a long break from the hobby until a fellow Marine introduced me to Warhammer 40K 3d edition in 2003. I started buying a ton of stuff (just about everything except Eldar, Chaos and Imperial Guard) with my focus mostly on Space Wolves and Orks. Deployments to Kosovo, Liberia, Iraq and Afghanistan put a damper on painting and my stuff sat untouched until I left the service in July 2011. Now my stuff sits mostly untouched as my job as a Project Manager in the Subsea Oil and Gas industry and also being a dad to two little girls eats up most of my time.
I have set a goal to improve my painting skills, with the hopes of eventually progressing to competition level.
