Perhaps, but you can't spit on minis cause their conception is done thanks to 3D. Imo, 3D is a great advancement into the miniature conception world and allows not only to have more dynamic poses and more detailled minis.

The fact that minis then are of a poor quality depends more on the founder cause Raging Heroes has been sculpting minis using 3D since the beginning (and we saw them live, they made a demonstration one day during a meeting of our association) and regarding how impressive the quality of their final products is, I'm just amazed. Minis are of an impressive quality, details are crips but then again, they're casting their minis in a high quality resin.
Lately Wyrd has been showing us 3D concepts of their minis, and they're casting their minis in hard plastic and then again, the quality of the minis is just incredible.
