here is a wip shot of my latest project. I took my time converting the horse and rider, sculpting hair for the raised zombie, sculpting a little carpet under the saddle, and sculpting parts of the barding to cover up the conversion at the head. I must say I am very proud of the conversions I have done on this model, I think the whole thing has a good pose / balance. It's not glued to the base yet, that's why you can see the pin holding it. oh btw the zombie is holding his left arm with his right arm, but it's abit blurry on this pic ^^
now on the question : I am stuck with the colour scheme. I had planned to do a deep red barding with freehands on it, but I'm not sure if it's the right choice of colour. Any suggestions on this would be most welcome.
the blue on the horse's crest looks amazing. And the skin of the zombie is great!! Keep this level up!!
About the color, Red would look great I think, if it's not too dark. If you are looking for another color I would suggest purple or maybe a very deep and dark blue. Personally I like red the best.
imo You could blue-line You've started and try to paint her in blue, purple and black tone... funeral colors...
what did You use as undercoat? black spray and then white? I'm just curious...
many thanks for the suggestions. I think I will use the red, but as you can see the barding is two - part so I can combine both red and purple colours. I concdered black, but decided against it because the horse is allready black, and I want to force myself and try brighter colours
Demi : idd, first I undercoated black and then sprayed a mist of white from about 30 cm.
