Hellspawn's Salamanders
Re: Hellspawn's Salamanders
PF + Chainsword is pointless, yes, BUT - it looks different, making the mini stand out, and in some tournaments (Melbourne's Arcanacon comes to mind) could actually be worth an extra point or two in the overall standings.

Ah, yeah, true, though, as combo was possible in rulebook, I went for it as it was mostly for the look yeah. Plus if you add to that the fact that I'm not playing any kind of tournament, it won't really be an issue gaming wise I guess
Re: Hellspawn's Salamanders
Here are the little green beans with the shadows, higlights and armor soft and inner shoulder pads done.
Sergeants arms have been removed and magnetized. Waiting for some bitz now to rebuilt those.
Crappy pics taken pretty fast with the phone to show some progress

Next step: prolly some metals
And yeah, once they'll be done, there will be a family pic with the veterans, the first unit and the rhino/razorback (and perhaps the pod if I found some courage to work on it)

Re: Hellspawn's Salamanders
Little progress of the we. Still a few things to do like a little highlights on the armor soft, and the Salamanders' head on the shoulder pads and then edge higlights and decals and they'll be good for service. Bolter of course aren't done as well but they will too
Regarding bases, I molded bases that I'll paint later.

"Family" photo with the previous painted ones. I'm pretty happy with the fact that they apparently blend all together well:

While spending time in the slack room with Demi, he asked me if I had plans for the end of the ToG.
I told him that right now nope but I gave him the list of the minis I have to paint for the Salamanders. And here it is:
