2005 balance:

-best miniature on market? Woodelf Hero with great weapon. I just love this guy with his coat, his pose, the little spite, the tree he is standing on.

-most enjoyable paint work? see above :D

-the nightmare paint work? Warcaster Amon from Privateer Press. It was a commission and the chain was already glued on. Interesting how something so small can be so disturbing.

-goals achieved? Improved my layering technique.

-goals missed? Paint more minis and learn how to wetblend.

-new secret tecnique mastered? Not mastered, but I sure think my blending gets better.

-best moment in hobby? Finishing the Woodelf Hero. The first mini I was really satisfied with.

-worse moment in hobby? Seeing the blade turn out just sucky and not knowing how to do better.

-what did you like most on CofC? More participation from my side :D

-What dint you like so much on CofC? Can't name sth.

2006 previsions
- your goals? Improve on blending and win one or two Motw. Reaching another 7.5 on cmon, design my own dragonogres.

- what would you like to see on CofC? Even more minis with a lot more critique. This is where I really learn stuff.

- last hobby thing you want to experience on 2006? Not getting better at all.

2005 balance:

-best miniature on market? Too hard to choose so I won't!:P

-most enjoyable paint work? Not one of mine. I really like a lot done by others, it wouldn't be fair to just name one...

-the nightmare paint work? Definitly the Skaven Plague Priest I've worked on. Still haven't had the guts to go back on it...

-goals achieved? Little. Finished some long time convertion projects but painting wise everything failed!

-goals missed? Most important the Tale! I came with the idea but couldn't deliver. The project died and I take full responsibility... Also, I had planned to attend three Golden Demon events last year and in the end I went to none!

-new secret tecnique mastered? Dabbled a bit with Tamiya Smoke, not really a technique but it'll have to do.

-best moment in hobby? I had been on a total standstill concerning the hobby and Mahon's invitation sparked my interests again. So definitly joining CofC!!!

-worse moment in hobby? See the Tale entry above.

-what did you like most on CofC? Friendly, mature and fun community!

-What didn't you like so much on CofC? Nothing springs to mind really...

2006 previsions

- your goals? Finishing three entries for the German GD and some for the UK and maybe even Italy.

- what would you like to see on CofC? That the 'silent' members start posting and that there will be more quality and fun people joining.

- last hobby thing you want to experience on 2006? I'll also quote Nav: intolerance to diference!

-best miniature on market?
Hasslefree's zombie hunters!

-most enjoyable paint work?
Probably the pulp stuff, esp the chinese figures

-the nightmare paint work?
Heresy's Boris, a huge struggle that took forever to get right. It turned out beautifully though and I think its my best work so far. (I should say that its a fantastic miniature though! The nightmare part is my own deficiency as a painter, aiming higher than I can shoot)

-goals achieved?
Didn't really set much goals... except...

-goals missed?
Finish painting all the modern zombies I bought. I have a bad habit of buying faster than I paint so for a small contained genre like zombies, I thought for once I would crunch down and get them all painted. Still on going though, hopefully I will get it done. I have only got another 27 more to go. Plus another 19 that I have my eyes on (10 of which I already bough, waiting for arrival).... plus any more that hasslefree releases..... ooops....

-new secret tecnique mastered?
Vallejo glazes. They are fun. I think I got much better with my metals too this year, after turning to washes. But didn't get to do that many metals in the year so didn't get a lot of practice on it.

-best moment in hobby?
Personally inspiring a set of miniatures for Newbold World. So honoured.

-worse moment in hobby?
spyglass downscaling

-what did you like most on CofC?
Nice people. Very supportive, encouraging and helpful.

-What dint you like so much on CofC?
Just a mild irritation, but for some reason, the page takes a moment to reload every now and then and it freezes up for a few seconds. No biggie though

2006 previsions
- your goals?
Get though zombies done. And more pulp. Maybe more pirates... A space ship fleet... or two... And something historical would be nice...

- what would you like to see on CofC?
More of the same

- last hobby thing you want to experience on 2006?
Bitching and whiney people. And post service stealing out stuff.

best miniature on market?
One of the Direct Sales dwarf lords, leaning upon his weapon. Captures the whole dwarf look

-most enjoyable paint work?
The Whte Dwarf, Limited ed model. It was a dwarf and very fun to do

-the nightmare paint work?
Ar-Ulric. The cloak and cloth caused me most problems but mainly due to my own downfalls as a painter

-goals achieved?
Improve generally in painting.

-goals missed?
Never set any but, basing probably.

-new secret tecnique mastered?
Bleached Bone in highlights. Never noticed before but wow.. this colour was great adds a new look to the shade.

-best moment in hobby?
New dwarfs... maybe. Not a clue

-worse moment in hobby?
None come to mind

-what did you like most on CofC
Members, helpful, consise and polite. Good bunch?

-What dint you like so much on CofC?
Again nothing comes to mind.

2006 previsions

- your goals?
Improve, get better and try harder techniques - blending being one main one. Oh that and get a 3500pts dwarf army converted and painted by September and start on my Marine's chapter once more. And maybe some orcs too.

- what would you like to see on CofC?
More of the same stuff.

- last hobby thing you want to experience on 2006?
A sudden new army being released for no reason.

2005 balance:
-best miniature on market?
Difficult to name only one, because there were many, and they were from really various ranges, hard to compare with each other. But I was really positively surprised with the 54mm elf from Andrea, and I didn't expect anything like that. It is something I would love to paint.

-most enjoyable paint work?
Mine? Uhm... I think one of the Hasslefree zombie hunters I painted. No pressure, painted them for my own collection, I could allow myself to paint them quick and not necassarily to the best quality possible.

-the nightmare paint work?
The Demon Prince... Took me much too much time... I started to hate this mini in the meantime. Too big, too detailed, too heavy... Paint started to chip off in thew meantime. Definitely this one!

-goals achieved?
Miniatures related? Changing Chest of Colors from the old format to the current one and seeing it blooming. Wow. It was one of the things I always wanted to do - run a popular miniatures-related website. One of my *big goals* achieved.
Not related to miniatures? One "personal" goal achieved ;)

-goals missed?
Going to any GD. Not to win, but to see all these wonderful minis "in person".

-new secret tecnique mastered?
Hmmm.... Secret technique? Fast painting? I think that's it - I learned to paint a mini in a short period of time and say "stop" to myself even though it could be still improved.

-best moment in hobby?
Definitely seeing CofC being such an active place :)
And seeing Ana getting so caught into this hobby :D

-worse moment in hobby?
Seeing so much negative emotions between hobbyists. Jealousy, antipathy, vanity... uh..

-what did you like most on CofC?
You - the people who make it such a great place! Such a mature, polite, resourceful place. Where even young hobbyists are treated with respect, where even the best artists are helpful, and the beginners can get helpful answers and opinions.

-What dint you like so much on CofC?
Failure of several projects... but hey, that's life :(

2006 previsions
- your goals?
Make CofC even better. Help people get their projects hosted at CofC. Paint more, and especially more as a hobbyist than for commission. Maybe go to a GD?

- what would you like to see on CofC?
Even more fantastic and active people like you :)

- last hobby thing you want to experience on 2006?
All the negative emotions we experienced this year.
