Since it's a 7 year old topic, I need to update my music preferences.
I started listening to blues a while ago. And still enjoy it very much. Besides blues, I'm still listening to rock. Mainstream or unknown, new or old... I don't care.
What music do you listen to when you paint?

Re: RE: What music do you listen to when you paint?
That was my answer 7 years ago, and It's still about the same. However I have become very picky lately when it comes down to music, but at the same time I have expanded my horizons.Corvus wrote:different kinds of metal, from black metal to gothic
Here are some albums which I currently listen to quite often:
Amberian Dawn - Circus Black
Sear Bliss - Eternal Recurrence
Swallow The Sun - Emeral Forest and the Blackbird
Fleshgod Apocalypse - Agony
Illnath - Third Act in the Theatre of Madness
Other than that:
Empyrium
Summoning
Black Dahlia Murder
Bishop of Hexen
Insomnium
Turisas
Eternal Tears of Sorrow
Heidevolk
Korpiklaani
Letzte Instanz
Sonata Arctica
Keep of Kalessin
Catamenia
....
it's hard to pick a favorite, it's all a mood thing to me

I guess I'm a bit off this track, my playlist is full of electrical music of various kinds from ambient to psytrance and industrial.
On the other hand I occasionally like to listen to very different music, like Metallica or Moonsorrow, Iced Earth, Anathema, and so on.
