Sorry, hadn`t the black cloth but wanted to see if the black background would indeed be the better choice. What cloth do you use to get is so deep black?
I tried black paper but it reflects too much und turns into grey.

The background in my BA Terminator picture is a dark greyish/black construction paper (I hope it's the right term for this kind of paper... it's basically just a bit thicker than normal paper) u usually get in any art and craft shop.

Thx, but it isn`t the velvety black seen with many of e.g. Nameless`or Ana`s pics. That has a nice effect.
BTW here the same hobgob with normal background and still problems with the face:

black t-shirt, blouse, skirt.. whatever you have at home. place it as the backround beyond the focus distance of your camera. try to avoid folds on the material.
that should do the trick. if you want it even darker, use a software (GIMP, Photoshop)to correct levels. pick your black background as the black spot, software will adjust colours and make it truly black ;) I recommend finding a white spot as well on your photo to avoid making the pic too dark.

Back from painting workshop, two days building bases and trying OSL, i can`t see colors any longer!
And as usually nothing is finished, still a lot to do! The water effect will take ages and the underground part on the second base is nearly untouched.
