I don't like the mini either, but the paintjob looks good so far, the colors work well together.

My main concern at the moment is if there is enough contrast or not, should I leave the leg as it is?
Since I'm not really good at creating enough contrast on my figs, I figured that a couple of gaming pieces would be nice to practice on.

Re: Tomaz's WIP's
I'd push a little more the highlights. Shadows are ok for me, but I'd go for a little more whitish on the leg for highlights, but that's just me. Besides that, colors are nice
Re: Tomaz's WIP's
I'd just push the shading of the inner thigh a bit more, like you did on the ankle.
Aside from that nice start!

Re: Tomaz's WIP's
You might wanna push both a bit, highlights and shadows but I would start and push those highlights up to pure white. This should create a nice yellow armor NMM effect and by going brighter on the highlights the shadows might be enough the way they are at the moment. If not you can still increase them afterwards.

Re: Tomaz's WIP's
Thanks for the replies guys. I started by pushing the highlights a bit using Vallejo Ivory. But I don't know if it really shows on the pictures.
So far I like it, but I'm thinking about making some shadows a bit darker when the rest is completed.
