I know the black does look a little flat but I am not sure how to sort it, I wanted it to look really black and I am not a fan of the sharp colour highlighting that is quite popular.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to shade the black and give it some definition while still keeping it really black looking?

You can't shade black as it's the darkest color, you can highlight it only

lol, yeah I know, I just mean I don't like it super highlighted. There has to be some other way.

Quick update, just finished my first stormfall archer, still not sure what to do on the black, but happy with the rest -

start painting black with mix of black and blue (green, pink, whatever). leave pure black for darkest shadows only.

Ok finished the stormfalls, again let me know what you think I can improve on!

I have tried the black a few times but have not got it right so have left it plain for now, when I get it how I want I will update the models.
