Done and voted! ;) Overall a nice miniature with a simple but effective colourscheme.:)

Hm, to be honest, he looks a bit flat to me. Technically, it's well executed, but the red appears too dark, the "skin" too much one tone. There is no eyecatcher for me on this one. His face lacks some expression and his eyes seem so "normal". I would have liked eyes in a different colour, as it is an alien.
The helmet in his claw is so different. The shades go up to bright highlights, something I really miss on the rest of the mini. The claws could have used some final highlights as well.
Don't get me wrong, the mini is good, but knowing the rest of your work, I think it is a weaker piece from you.

i know this is not a top standard mini concerning the painting ;) as i said...I should have made a better plan before sculpting on how to paint him ;) so you are right on most what you said :)

I was a bit disapointed because I couldnt get more out of him, but I am well aware that he's not one of my best minis, painting wise :)

Another question: is the base sculpted or made from existing material? (for example from a mould by Hirst art)

it is plaster, and everything is carved myself. I thought about making moulds for these kind of things, but no time atm ;)

Thanks. It looks very well done and if you do make a mould one day I would like to order some from you!;)

Yes the base is excellent.
As for the broodlord he is a bit too static for my taste.
However I like the toned painting scheme. Without very strong highlights he looks more realistic in my opinion

It defenitly looks better to me than the first version. I like the effect on the claws and spikes, but the red is a bit dull imo.
Other than that it all looks great as before. I always forgot to ask if the head was partially sculpted or is it an existing head?
