Without a cake

Post by Ana »

... I think that in great company a year of painting minis has passed. A year ago I painted my first mini. :D

I remember I tried to paint lipstick on its lips but they were too broad and it didn't look good at all

Today I found out it's been already a year and I got a bit sentimental.

... and my second mini was a Space Marine, the one that Mahon didn't need and let me paint it.

And I was stubborn in my opinion that it can't be highlighted anymore because it will become ugly and the light has to shine on him from a side, etc., and so on, and it would me painted my way and without any outlining, period!

It's good that Mahon is such a patient teacher. It was the mini-painting community who taught me to learn from the mistakes of others. Before then I was too stubborn to give up my own plans. I think one of the apostles was like that too, and before he hadn't seen - he wouldn't believe?

There's nothing to boast, but memories and digressions keep coming to my head. Who sould I share them with, if not with you?

Wow Ana, these look great still. Your first mini's? I'm ashamed to show mine, in fact I painted over my slayers last year. So I have nothing to show for it... of course if people saw them then I would also have to go the way of the slayer.

I like your models though, well painted even for your first ones. But you mean to tell me you've gotten this good in only a year? Balls. I'm I am taking the slayer oath. :(
