I have to share with you my latest work :) People in Poland saw this mini in real at the Hussar contest.
The photo doesn't show the finished version (with ivy) but the paintwork hasn't changed sice then.
The base is from Max Mini and the mini is from Guild of Harmony.

In my opinion it was one of the best painted miniatures at Hussar. Vivid colors, funny theam and great paint job. Oh why don't you share with us the work's contest name?:D

thats perfect example how incorect light can demage work .. on Huzzar thi 1 looks grey ... like moust off works (grey or orange) end ther is full spectrum of colors on thous brick walls wich whas actuali invisible ther

BTW ther is quite distinct light on th both end from what i rymember shadows wer painted .. so why Jester dont get a shadow under his leags ?? ;)

and you're right, Maru - the shadows were painted (eg. under the roof) but I can't recall painted shadow under his legs

I really like this one, the way it's painted works really well but i prefer the first picture without the plant in the second one. I feel it draws a little attention away from the model itself. I do like how you've done the shadows on the model itself and the contrast is so intense but in the second set of photos i personally feel that the scene/base which goes with the model lacks that intense contrast, it's almost like he is under a beam of light but the building is in a diffused light area.
