Re: Legacy Miniatures (Confrontation returns)
I hope they start releasing the miniatures in separate packs and ones which people actually like. As there was a large initial excitement but they seem to have shot themselves in the foot at the moment, with poor marketing and mediocre model choice in my opinion.
Re: Legacy Miniatures (Confrontation returns)
so first come:Wave 3 will come in October consisting of 2 packs; Pack 1 - All 6 original Fiannas with Drac Mac Syro, the barbarian that you could only get with the Ragnarok box set. Pack 2 - Molochs.
Wave 4 will be the Titan Dragon that everyone love so much. This pattern of release will continue.

Re: Legacy Miniatures (Confrontation returns)
and after more digging:
Some official news from David of Legacy Miniatures:
"The third wave will have a new miniature never published before as well.
The fourth wave will have two new miniatures never published before (one of them relative to Cadwallon)
As for the Acheron "pack": it has been a wanted choice knowing well the possible problems.
Why? This is a test. Let's see what sells a set of miniatures already published and less "sexy" as those for which everyone asks for. We wanted to see the reactions it causes.
Without touching with hand, it is possible to base solely on experts opinion, which then aren't experts at all. Better to risk a little money (ours). We understood and now we "roll up our sleeves" on the basis of this experience.
The controversy on the bases round or square? We'll put them both... We're not arrogant, we read, evaluate and then respond. The round base alone was a mistake. Point."

Molochs: Yay! Fiannas: Nay!
Dragon... who gives a damn, it is going to be too expensive anyway for most of us.

Re: Legacy Miniatures (Confrontation returns)
Molochs are great figures, but I only want the one on the left.
I don't quite understand the "statement". Are they thinking that people will now spend 80 USD on a set of miniatures if it contains one previously unreleased figure? I doubt it.
I have no problem spending 15-20 EUR on a good quality (human-sized) miniature, I think a lot of painters and collectors feel the same way, so why not put them in regular blister packs? I hope the next few "set" releases will hurt them more financially (but not enough for them to go bankrupt yet
) and they will see sense.
