) I've been stalking the chestofcolours website for ages, and didn't realise that they had a forum until now... 
Anyway, I've been in the hobby since December '07, and did my first highlights on a model for Golden Demon Australia in '08, which didn't turn out too great; needless to say it didn't get too far! This, as well as seeing the works of other painters made me want to paint more, and after some practice, I managed to get a gold and silver in the under 14's in '09, which is, so far, one of the best experiences I've had.
Last year didn't go too well; the judges deemed my model too 'dark', so I didn't get anything, so this year I painted half of a greatsword white, and managed to get a gold in the Under 18's gategory at this year's Games Day! THAT SHOWED THEM!!! HA!
Ahem. Anyway, other hobbies of mine are art, sculpture (the stranger, non-miniature kind), acting, and co-hosting my radio show.
