The reason its red its because:

t's cast in neutral gray, that tint in the packaging is just for effect until we get a painted version done. More web shots will come online with multiple views when we add it to the store for online ordering!

and I am with Navarro - if I had to choose one, the Heresy dragon is the ultimate dragon for me so far. this one may be better quality-wise or more credible, but the Heresy one looks like my mental image of a dragon.

I'm pretty solidly in this camp as well. Having grown up on The Hobbit/Tolkien, my idea of dragons is pretty solidly centered around Smaug, who I've always seen represented as a fairly traditional western-style dragon. Thus, Heresy's dragon just looks more correct to me.
