Today's progress with sherriff bust - I've basecoated all hair&fur :) and cigar to see contrast of skin better. Lots of filters, smoothing of blends, some light and shades. Eyes will be the next thing tomorrow...

I like your colours, all those tones on the skin. It looks really impresive,

But there are some strange contrast - for exgample on the nose or on his left cheek. In those places his skin looks like a stone. I believe it's becouse of the sculpt but maybe you could improve the mini with your painting - with smoothing these areas. I would try to do it even if you want to make a cartoonish style.

The whole face under his nose is great! But upper parts just dont look right for me. Just my point of view :)

Good luck with that bust :D

PRZEMO: Thank you for your feedback. You're right with the nosa and cheeks - they're sculpted like stone and there are two ways I think - ignore the sculpt and don§t paint that deep shadows or paint it as sculpted and may have 'stone' result :) I'm working on his 'stetson' and hair. Eyes and another skin filters already done.

Today's progress on bust - more filters on his skin, eyes, hair and cigar. And basecolor for stetson hat. To be continued... Pictures taken in the late night, so it's pretty grainy.

I think the highlights don't quite work on his hat as well as the face. For example, underneath the front of the hat you have it quite chalky but light in colour, however on the top of the hat it is a darker brown, i think from a technical aspect the highlights should be flipped and darker on the bottom and lighter on the top.

Maru is right! It's a strong fokal point. It may bo ok an may be wrong - depends on what you want to obtain. It's a bust and making such a strong fokal point on the top of hat may be not a good idea.
