Thanks czlowiek.morze! Yes, you are right about the guard catching your eye first. I should have used mor earth- colours on him isted of the red and yellow or used a brighter eyecatcher on the genstealer. I thought that I was done with this piece but I have decided to do some changes (add some details to the dio). I will try to take the eyes of the guard by doing this. I´ll post a pic of it when it´s done.
Thanks for the respons!:)

Re: Synthet - my work
I like it, the comment about the eye hitting the guardsman first and losing the stealer are true. I think simply changing the colours of the tendrils and stuff coming out of his mouth would help bring the stealer into focus as well, while keeping the bulk of the body blending into the background. I like the stealer blending in some, I think it's a cool story telling feature. Well done!

I like this one, both paintjob and base.
you could play a bit more with mid-tones on the cloak. I'm also not convinced with NMM on the blade.

Re: Synthet - my work
So long time since I posted something on this great forum. Here is a Dark angels librarian who was done as a test, finsihed him in about 5-6h.
Since it was a quick paintjob I´m rather pleased with him, still some pointers would be useful if I decide to go back to him some day.

Looks solid.
Are the rays (or whatever comes out from guy's palm) part of the model or did you have to sculpt them?

it loooks really nice for such a short time
transitions could be smoother of course. oh, and that purple sword with fiery runes looks more like a toy for kids, not a weapon of mass destruction
