Neuroshima Tactics

Post by dzejendes »

Probably quite a lot people, especially in Poland, have heard about Neuroshima. For those that didn't hear: Neuroshima is a post apocaliptic setting, kind of crossover of Terminator, Mad max and Fallout worlds, with several games base on it: RPG, boardgame, CCG(?).
Company that makes it is going to release miniature wargame and have shown first model. Unfortunately.

Well... for a gamer mini it could be a lot worse. I wouldn't mind seeing one in the hand. I think these guys could benefit from someone like Angel Giraldez (....who couldn't?) painting up some of their line. The paint might be letting this one down a little bit. I do have a soft spot for post-apoc style mini's though. I might order one of these out of curiosity when the time comes.

After I saw this..... I force myself to write something in English just to say: IT SUUUUUCKSS!! :bonk:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tUDo9kJb2NE

The sculpt is unnatural, the hands ...... Warzone nad GW from 90 back again ?
On the blog painter claims that official photos don't show the "true paint job"....than we see his, "better" photos and..... it doesn't help either.
The painting is flat, dirty, boring and unclean.

Don't get me wrong, I Love the Neuroshima game and I believe this guys will make a good skirmish game with fantastic rules, but please!
Pay someone who can sculpt and paint!

Well I know for certain the painter can definitly paint judging on his other works. I admit they are not up to his normal level though, but the sculpt does make it difficult to paint well.

don't get me wrong, but knowing the guys behind it - I doubt they will be succesfull. they are absolutely amazing when it comes to RPG (I know that) and board games (so I've been told), but have never been really good at anything related to minis (again, I know that).
I hope I'm totally wrong (always keep my fingers crossed for any mini-related undertaking, especially those in Poland), but this first mini just supports my opinion.

hym .. well like with Dwarf tales i woud sey that some of they minis look bad as painting is not Showcase lvl so i would paint it better (wich i done :P)
in this case .. well it is possible to paint it better but duno if would help much .. it is exacly what i heate in PP minis - flat old design from 80s
end it is not lack of detail im crytycising - as overloading with details is bad idea .. it is just .. well Thats Warzone ... style (shoulderpads missing .. )

- hym Warzone got quite lot of fans

maybe the artists were not paid well for their work? I can see Demi was involved in this project, he may be able to add some more info.

unfortunately I am totally disappointed with the model and the paintjob. I've seen many better paintjobs in tournament armies for 40k...

Looking at this... sculpt wise... Its okish I guess the arms pose are weird but theres some nice details on the body... paint wise the skin is killing everything for me eeven if clothes are acceptable... metals drybrush are also clumsy.

Not a revolution in miniature world but a average mini with bellow average Paintjob IMO.

Rules wise I dont care much at this point since I have all the games I wanted to and I dont play them sooo cba :D

Maybe it was like that ;[

It looks like prepaint.
hym Warzone got quite lot of fans
Warzone had great techno fantasy artstyle(Poul Boner) and atmosphere, rules were fresh and new at the time and it was not W40K ;)
Molding technology was horrible so most of the minis were like - "I just crashed on the wall and shit myself in the pants".
This one has got the same symptom.

They should hire someone to manage the production/design/painting of the minis and "quality assurance" as all.
Someone who knows what is acceptable to the gamers(at least).

I don't know.... maybe they targeting to kids ? ...no, the mood of the system is to heavy ;)

I hope they make it and this is just accident!
