Re: zombie showcase
to be honest - no, I don't. it might be a pic issue though, I can only see background and bent wires.Demi_morgana wrote:Hope you like her anyway
as for the wires - she must be a friend of Ana's harlequin, don't you think Mahon?
Re: zombie showcase
the wires dominate this model and they're not the best part, so the overall effect suffers from this domination...
also I am not sure how much of the shadows is painted and what is only cast by strong lamp you used for taking photos. and if the shadows are all painted - that's some powerful contrast you got there. unfortunately I don't think it's a very good model. I've seen better ones from you. good OSL, which would benefit from a photo on black background.
I also see that the clothes are all "dotted" with some kind of fine dots - like airbrush or spray... or zenithal priming not covered well enough
yeah, she must be a friend or relative of the disco harlequin. the one with disco-sparkles coming out of the staff's ears
or at least that's how I remember it...

Re: zombie showcase
thanks guys
I'll try to take pics using decent black b:" not sure if paper sheet painted black and sprayeD matt varnish won't be reflecTing the light
as for the lightning bolts - guitar string wire was the thinest wire I could find here: it's about 1/2 of paper clip thickness

mine was...Demi_morgana wrote:not sure if paper sheet painted black and sprayeD matt varnish won't be reflecTing the light
that's why I prefer using black cloth now.

Re: zombie showcase
I did it on pic sent to NQ but didn't like fabric being visible

Re: zombie showcase
you need to keep it behind the field of depth, where the picture is out of focus / blurred. when the background is blurred you won't see the texture.

Re: zombie showcase
yeah but the fabric was visible close to camera where it was getting focus...
looks like I have to move model back in the tent

Re: zombie showcase
whats up with overpresentation of miniatures these days...I'd say either the mini "has got it" or it don't. no backround fixes that... but thats slightly off topic
