Re: Dargrin's WIP
ok no idea what's on 1 photo ..
secound 1
loks good but :
as the cups reflects so much light end ftom at last 3 points (zenital , from left end from right) so the shadows should be stronger end at same a little blured as ther are 3 soure of light
so the Drunkard on the floor could get more light oriented shadows as you alrdy made 3 light surces

First photo is me playing around vomit and spilt liquids. My knowledge of epoxy is limited so I needed to play around with it. I plan to have spilt beer on the bar as well as a bit of vomit on the floor. The floor will also have straw and dirt.
Re: Dargrin's WIP
No, but it adds one more thing to it.
Re: Dargrin's WIP
So with a bit of insomnia tonight I worked on this guy tonight. I honestly don't even know his name. But I think he is pretty cool looking model.

Re: Dargrin's WIP
it's GW beastlord
and he is cool mini, I painted one myself. Yours is looking good so far.
I like the rust effect you achieved. try to wash/darkline metal parts of the axe - build that 3D effect, make different elements pop.
I miss some contrast on the cloth and some highlights on the skin.

Re: Dargrin's WIP
Any chance of seeing a different angle?
I think the chainmail could do with a dark wash to make the rings pop more with the highlights (I have real chainmail here) but I love the cloth as it is, maybe my style of painting hasn't formed fully enough to compare it to anything I've done.

Getting back into the thick (or rather thin as in thinning my paints) of it, not picked up a brush in some time so this may hurt a bit until I get used to the feel of them again
Re: Dargrin's WIP
so far it's nice, neat and simple. but it's so flat that I am sure you still haven't even started to apply any highlighting and shading.

Re: Dargrin's WIP
like it so far - my only suggestion are some blight highlights on metal areas
