SCAVVY BRAINSTORM...

Post by Demi_morgana »

heya!
as I mentioned yesterday I have become happy owner of scavvy gang :D
there are 16 minis so I think it's battleforce for about 1000 pts;
although I have some ideas about painting, I don't know what about the bases :?
I want the same kind of bases for whole warband to unify them but cannot decide what to do: rocks and toxic swamp? rubble bases? I really have no concept :(
what do You think? what bases would fit necromundian minis the best?

RE: bases for scavvies...

Post by Skrit »

Scavvies live in the lowest regions of the Hive cities so maybe a combination of rubble, dirt, worn metals, etc, would be in character...

with green toxic whater all over the place.

the site is https://www.groundforge.co.uk/

actually i think that you can go wild and create unique bases from your own imagination with bones inside toxic pools or blueish or green colors reflective highlights... so many options.

There are plastic sheets that have the diamond pattern embossed upon it. I would imagine that the other imbossing could be found in plastic sheets as wll.

The same company that makes PlastiCard here in the US has a similar product that has the steel textured pattern like in the second pic there.

I was thinking if you took something like the base on the right in the second pic, and put the toxic water stuff on the lower part of it, so it looks like somebody standing next to a pool of toxic good. That'd be pretty neat.

To make some cool metal flooring look at the handles on things like files for miniatures, X-acto Handles, and many sculpting tools. All of thhese have some sort of patteren where you grip the tool. Mix up some putty and put it on some bases. Try the different patterens to see what you come up with. I have found some great Diamond plate patterens off of my files. :D

rrrighr... time to perform zombie thread-o-mancy upon this topic :xmas:
my friend is creataing fan-site anout necromunda so we decided to make new necro-campaign to present the game* :)
I want to lead my scavvies to the underhive glory once again... but there's a problem... :?
this time I want to field mutants: they can be VERY mean but there are no minis I want to field in gw range: mutants with 2 heads and with eyestalks...
I cannot use double-head from plastic chaos warriors because they're simply far too large compared to necromunda models... and what about eye-stalks? the only thing I have in mind is drilling pins in eye-sockets and painitng eyes on the top of them... :(
any ideas? :pale:

*and of course: to drink lots of boozers while gaming!
