I've watched about half of it so far.
There's not a lot of narration in the video (in the English soundtrack, at least), and a bit of it is repeated. So if you're looking for in depth discussion on how she does things, you'll be disappointed. If you're looking to *see* how she does things, you'll find this to be pretty good. I've picked up a few things just from watching her blend, and it has rekindled my desire to paint. It's somewhat comforting to know that she doesn't magically get smooth blends. She works at it over and over and over.

Looking at teasers and style of painting I will go with jeremies dvd's instead.
Re: CoolMiniOrNot news
from what I've seen from teasers - there's quite much narration from Jeremie.... it might be just the teasers though.

You asked for it soCorvus wrote:why?NAVARRO wrote:Looking at teasers and style of painting I will go with jeremies dvd's instead.
Looking at teasers... Natalya ones look dead boring and I cant see anything... I cant see the paint being applied on the miniatures... actually she could have recorded painting the miniature with a clean brush and it would be the same thing.
Theres more to a tutorial than just watching someone painting ( and in this case i cant even see that right)
Jeremies teaser I actually learned the why's and can see the paint clearly being applied, looked like a much more adult and clear tutorial.
Looking at style of painting i dont relate myself with Natalya style and Im not even mentioning how inconstant the quality is on her painting... Im just not a fan really.
Looking at jeremie style the freehands, the blendings and the originality of pices are much superior to anything natalya has done.
Now put the pic on the cover with a gal with boobies poping up and its another nail in the coffin... yeah i love tits just not on a miniature painting tutorial DVD.
In short, i learned something on jeremies teasers and considered a total waste of time watching natalyas one... maybe its just the teasers.

Re: CoolMiniOrNot news
I think JBT is the better painter of the two, especially the freehand. But the last two years I've somewhat had enough of the "French Touch" style of painting, so I'm more a fan of Natalya's style.
But I think the JBT DVD is indeed a lot better. I just watched the trailer (https://www.youtube.com/user/jbonamant#p ... JDzaIT70a4) and it seems to cover a lot more in much more depth. And it's only 25 EUR...

@Maru - or do you want to see his cleavage?
@Navarro - good analysis, and I generally agree with you. not that I bought any of those DVDs, so my final judgement might differ, but for now - based on teasers - it is just like yours
@Corvus - opinion who is better may vary from one person to another, but for me Jeremie's teasers are more tempting to make me spend my money on his DVDs and seem to be a promise of a more useful and in-depth tutorials.
