Hello from Germany

Post by DarkKnight »

Hello Community

I follow this board now for several months and now i made the decision to create a account here.
My name is Thomas and i come from Germany. I live there in a little village next to cologne.
My first contact with the hobby was directly after the film Fellowship of the Ring. Soon i realized, that it is painting miniatures what my heart is for.
You can just look on my hp to gain a little insight of what i´m doing.

Ok, what else to say? Hmm...oh yes. As you can see my english isnt´t errorless but my polish doesn´t exist. :D
I hope i can show you my work once in a while because i think here are a lot of excellent artists which have different techniques i could lern.

kind regards

Thomas

@DarkKnight - welcome. don't worry about the language. this forum is not about using perfect English (although it sounds like an interesting subject, maybe some day? ;) ) but about miniatures. share some pics for Nameless to rip to pieces with his harsh comments ;) :mrgreen:

@Nameless - I think so too :)

Well, the CMON thread is a good one - it makes me quit browsing CMON if I have less time, because the guys tend to post most interesting stuff (not always the highest quality but stuff they find interesting) there. Good collection of interesting stuff :)

As for your GD entries - wow, so you're one of the rare species that don't treat the competition as a deadly fight? ;)

Yes of course.
I mean, if i could win a demon..ok. But that´s not what i´m painting for. It´s just the fun to create nice miniatures. So i show them her in internet to get feedback.

Welcome!

Since I have a lot of German painting friends (I live in Belgium) I'm looking forward to meeting you in real life one day. Just keep an eye on the events page since that's where I usually post the events I'm going to. There's a chance I might go to the Games Day this year, are you going?

If you don't mind the 200+ km drive to Antwerp I invite you to the Crisis event in November and in February there's also the Crusade event in Brussels with a lot of international painters.
