GW metallics, a few VMC, trying a handful of VGC (because they gave it to me for free at GenCon), starting to try a handful of the Reaper Pro paints, lots of "craft/hobby" paints (see Bushido's list of paints for his Slayer entry and you've got the kinds :P ), inks are "watercolor/technical" inks from a couple companies (art store stuff), the occasional Liquitex Flow Medium and/or Extender...

I actually mix colors all the time, and unlike Deadmilkman, am pretty good at replicating the color (read I've duplicated a color to do touch ups to a 6-year-old paintjob before).

Yeah, yeah... I'm complicated... Is anyone truly surprised by this? :P

Maybe it's time to check them out because many people say they are better
The GW paints taste better :D
Vallejo taste like :censored:

I know some people (Golden Demon level painters) that prefer citadel paints, so its all personal preferences. And Im sure that GW metalics are better, but Vallejo yellow is better than GW yellow...

I bought a handful of these at GenCon, but haven't used them much yet. I probably will be soon. So far they seem pretty good, and they market them in the oh-so-handy triads of colors. (main, highlight, shadow - all together in one blister with 3 bottles :D ) Its a pretty cool concept to me, and of course I bought more that way. ;)

Supposedly they are going to be coming out with some colors to match some of the "trademark" colors that some of the better painters are known for. These are supposed to be some colors that these painters have been mixing for themselves for years, like Jen Haley's purple (least that's what got said). I know they also have some really nice skintone options, including dark skintones.
