i would like to increase my sculpting ability, so i sculpt and sculpt and sculpt again, and will give up for a while the painting (i will try and it will be hard)
so my first integral sculpt and a try on an human head
i think i will erase the staff and the teeth on the minis...it sucks !!!
For the FIRST attempt they're awesome. I assume the scale is something like 30mm, so what we're most used to.
Maybe I am used to all these heroic miniatures, but I think some exaggerated features would make it look more interesting. And some better definition of the upper lip maybe?
The full figure reminds me of many Fenryll miniatures or maybe some JMD stuff? Technically looks good, but maybe Navarro can say something more, but the concept is so weird and alien that it's difficult to comment on it, as it is supposed to look odd and not very human. So I don't know what's right and what's wrong. But your sculpting seems to be neat and clean. Well defined shapes and good detailing.
yep you defintly right mahon, leaps need a touch of fimo
and i'm looking for sketch to have a good base for working, because this one is done only with my owns idea and no sketch
the design is no regular because from this side you have armour plate from the other chainmail, it missed coeherence
i use fimo soft on a base of green stuff, to glue it on the wired armature
For a first attempt i agree it is amazing work, you make me cry. I do agree about the claw seems a bit too big and long. The bird head seems to be missing a neck of somesort so it looks odd at the moment. Not sure what' happening with the other arm but overall very cool nice and smooth finish with lots of good detail.
