Re: zombie showcase
Looks good. Kind of agree on the head, think even a contrasting color might have made the difference since it kind of blends into the rest of the piece. Maybe something lighter with pink tones or what not.

Re: zombie showcase
Saw this pic on facebook. I love it! I HAVE to learn to do basework like you've done here. Wuality on the mini's is great too. Though sometimesd I feel like the only person who just doesn't really like much from Rackham.

Re: zombie showcase
thanks mate - some time ago I sent materials to NQ magazine and they might publish it one of coming issues;
I'll ask the guys is there no problem if I publish basing tutrtial somewhere before next NQ comes out
as for rackham sculpts - I agree these minis have the character - and to be honest I wouldn't like to paint most of their range...

Re: zombie showcase
I am always happy to see that there are people who follow their own taste, style and preferences, not copy something that gets 9-10 on cmon.
your minis always have a stamp "painted by Demi", and that's quite an achievement for me.

Re: zombie showcase
It's a very good point Phil, you can definately tell the difference between Demi's work and everyone elses'. There are lots of good painters out there, but painters with very distinctive styles are much harder to see. Great model demi and i actually saw this on heresy forums, i love the whole thing, your base work is improving much more with each model

Re: zombie showcase
the base was supposed to be much more damaged - unfortunately I overestimated woodworms' abilities... bastards!
