painting rubber...

Post by Demi_morgana »

heya!
I am painting bile thrall at the moment and I have no idea how to paint it's rubber stuff: tubes and gloves :(
I wanted to make it look old and weathered so maybe painting it black, highlighting it and laying some glazes and washes on it would be good idea... washes like browns of greens? :?
please help

I think you need soft highlights so using bleached bone to highlight black would work i think. You probably could give it a greenish shine with some extremely thin washes afterwards. That's what I would try, but tbh I've never painted weathered rubber before :?

I never even painted normal rubber before! But I think what ToMaZ suggested might do the trick.:)
