Re: Corvus' WIPs
I was tired of painting all bone in a 'bleached bone' style so I decided to do something different.

I also like brighter version of the skeleton - it's a breath of fresh air in painting deaders and will make the whole piece pop up much more

Started work on the Kabuki Models' Executioness
I think I will do some glazing on the skin since I'm not entirely happy with the color.

Good start, the skin looks rather rough at the moment, i think you're right about adding some glazes. Why are you happy with the colour? too brown perhaps?

well I like the color - of course you could make it smoother but nevertheless I think it's really cool

Well before starting to work on this miniature I had something completely different in mind. So I mixed up the paints which I thought would result in what I wanted but I ended up with something different.arctica wrote:Why are you happy with the colour?
I think I will do some glazes with the fleshtone and then some purple+dark red mixed in for the shadows and some light-pink for the highlights.
Re: Corvus' WIPs
Ah i see, well i think some coloured glazes and some cooler colours might make the model more to what you envision. Purple and blue are other choices you might want to consider
, and i totally agree with some more flesh colours, but it's still a good start
Re: Corvus' WIPs
Coincidentally, I'm working on this same model right now.
