1. highlights on other parts of the body are taken almost to the white. his belly doesn't seem to be covered by any other part. it should be highlighted just like arm or leg, at least that's what I assume after seeing this mini on pics only.
2. oh, I understand. It doesn't really work for me, but I think it's matter of taaste really.
btw, I really like the stone blade.

In theory you are right, but that part of the belly is under the head and the chin. According to the picture, it does seem like it it too dark or not highlighted, but I can assure you that the flesh is enlighted to the right degree, for being in that position. But I understand that it is not that clear in the picture.
looking at the right angle, light seems to be at the right place. But thank you for having raised the "concern"
For the feet, yes, I assume it is a matter of taste, I just thought that feet, the most coriaceous part of the body would be a little darker too... : )
thank you for the explanation

Re: Tanka Wanka (Artefactory)
I finished my TW, I did enlight the belly as suggested, just a little to make it clear where the light is hitting the body. Thanks for the good suggestions.
The pictures are in my "Painting" thread.

First WIP, with horrible pics...
I am working on the Coat of the model, I hope it gives you an idea. I started from a brow-green-black base, progressively lighten up to green ochre + white + a bronzed skintone...Shadows has been gotted with a dark red
Any ocmments, for what can be said, is most welcome as usual

I love what you did with the back of the mini (scales?). I was never too fond of the sculpt but it looks cool now. Especially on the first photo...
Re: Docitalicus works in progress...New WIP on Feb 19
Probably more highlight on the collar? Looks great so far.

It's looking great so far. I think on the back of the cloak the bottom edge and slightly to either side too i would add a bit more highlights, since your light source is coming down, the bottom edge of the cloak is facing in an outward direction so it should pick up the light.

Re: Docitalicus works in progress...New WIP on Feb 19
Thank you
I got your point...it is a bit also a matter of picture and going to the shadows it lascks a bit of differentiation of shades that in real are still visible. I also tried to enhance the contrast between the central part of the cloak and the rest so to give kind of a diresctional path to the neck part
As soon as I do better pics it will be more visible. But of course I will re-touch a little bit to make the transition of light more "realistic"
Thanks again
