First medals awarded

Post by mahon »

We've got a new feature at our forum: medals.
They will be awarded for various achievements, like:
- number of posts
- number of thanks received
- successful participation in events
- winning awards
etc.

For now we started with:

Image

Medal for successful participation in the first CofC Miniature Exchange

Image

Medal for successful participation in the second CofC Miniature Exchange

Image

Medal for successful participation in the third CofC Miniature Exchange

Image

Medal for successful participation in the fourth CofC Miniature Exchange

Image

Medal for successful completion of a Tale of Gamers project. One medal per project.

Image

Medal for receiving 1000 thanks for posts

Image

Medal for receiving 500 thanks for posts

Image

Medal for receiving 100 thanks for posts

Image

Medal for being the author of a miniature that won the Miniature of the Month poll

More will be added later.

Now you can easily access the "medals" panel at the top of the forum to see the list of awards and who received them. Each person's profile also includes information about their medals.

Maybe Tale of Gamers versions should have different variations, depending on the number of finished tales? :) i.e. 1/5/10
miniatures painted:
2011 - 83, 2012 - 38, 2013 - 45, 2014 - 56, 2015 - 95, 2016 - 106, 2017 - 22

when the first person finishes 5 or 10 tales, we'll think about it
and there will be a really cool medal for 100 tales

ToG - just remember it's a fun project and attempt to inspire painters to paint.
Tales are very varied. We have small bands painted to TT standard or showcase standard; we have bigger "gw" armies... It's hard to compare them

Arctica surely meant 100 GW tournament-legal armies ^^

I know they're difficult to compare, but is this the point? The idea was to do something inspirational, and you can see how few projects were actually finished, even though many were started. So I would appreciate any finished project. Just my take.

Of course we may add a medal for "ToG of the year" :P

One general medal is enough I think, with a numbere added each time you finish another one. :)
