3vilTom's Retribution

Post by 3vilTom »

Hey Everyone!

Long time lurker first time poster. Im sure you have all noticed that Arctica has recently become obsessed with Warmachine, he is an old friend of mine and coming to visit soon and got me some models to get me started!

I am going to try and get as much painted as possible before he comes and so I thought I would post on here to keep me motivated and get ideas!

Looking forward to hearing everyones ideas!

Good luck with your tale! We all try to keep pace with Arctica, but he is just too fast for the rest of us ;)

Nice to see those models in other color scheme :)

nice and smooth painting.
have you considered some stronger highlighting along the edges of your models? at least some edges...

Yay after years of nagging him he finally posts something on the forum. I hope the thread will keep you motivated.

I really like the colour scheme it's just completely different to what most retribution armies we see. It reminds me a bit of some anime mecha.

I agree with Mahon that perhaps some stronger highlighting on some edges would make it pop a bit more. The blue gems give it a really nice offset to the red and black but i feel they could do with some more contrast to give it some shiny-ness, maybe it could be the photo, but you need a better camera too ^^ (like i'm the one to talk about poor photos!)

Time for my next model!

I was going to do Rahn next but I couldn't resist doing a witch hunter assassin, they are awesome models and I had a lot of fun with this one, the only thing im not happy with is the blade but if I go over it too much I will never move on! Anyhow, please let me know what you think and comments and criticism welcome!

wouldn't it be faster to paint few models at one time or do you prefer individual approach?

I really like the colour scheme, the colours work together really well and appeal to me lots. The metallics i've told him to leave and i'd show him how i would approach it when i come visit him in Feb.

Plus i got a sneak peek at his warcaster today and the force is looking pretty darn glorious.
