same here.

I am not a kind of sado-masochistic guy who has some abnormal desire to make things complicated for himself and others.
if you can achieve a good result with less effort - great for you!

wetblending can be done in 1 layer with some skill.
of course you can apply thusands of layers, but do you really need to? do they improve the results enough to justify such a great amount of extra work?

I also cannot understand people who insist that using an airbrush is a bad thing and one should be ashamed about using it. why? shouldn't you choose the best tool and the best method for the task?

some people prefer to make things unnecessarily complicated.
I don't care if they use thousands of layers or need months of time - if they can't do it easier or faster, it's their problem not mine. I care about the results...

One of the slowest tales here, but it's not quite dead ;)
First full unit is finally finished! I have to find a quicker method to paint them, now it takes too much time. I think I will have to invest in Army Painter yellow spray.

Fastest way
Use either foundation Tausept ochre or iYande Darksun then one of those + lighter yellow i use golden then last just golden, then only higlight with a ligth yellow (yellow + white)
If you want to blend them just give a very light glaze of the shadow color thats the banana marines way ;) three step for yellow coat + one for highlight no 200 brush strokes

Hi,

I think they look very good especially if they are intended to play. To bad the photos are small. Those peaces of imperial buildings suite them well. So what's next for this army ??
BTW I think that yellow Eldar would be a real fire magnet on the battlefield but that are Eldar they don’t care hehe.

Because they are Eldar and they like to be some cannon fodder. But seriously I think Eldar are very nice models to paint because you can experiment with many colors and almost all look good on them so I thin that the Iyanden colors are fun to paint.

I can recommend Idea sprays (from Maimeri?).
Their yellow paint was a huge help for us when we had to paint some Imperial Fists...
