Rusty's WiP

Post by Wintertooth »

Working on a Mordheim elf at the moment. I didn't appreciate how much time I needed to put into prepping the surface of the model for painting, I thought I'd sanded and buffed it well, but clearly needed more work.

The freehand was fun, my first attempt. I found it interesting to see how the same technique on the front and back filigree created such different effects, I'm assuming that was the strength of the colours I was painting onto. I like both effects, but not sure they match up particularly.

I would add some white blinks on this freehand. But it generally looks very good.
