Soooo all the commissions I had going are now finished and I can get back to painting my own things! yay!

As a nice start I thought I'd first do the Averlonian Bust that I ordered just before Christmas. Just blocking in basic lights and shadows atm.

Rather than re-sculpt the top hat thingy, I'm going to be painting the texture onto it in the bits that it's missing and trying to make it appear as if it has a hole int he top where his scalp shows through.

Here he after about an hour or so:

Here's a little more work done to the skin, started to smooth over some of the transitions. Just a quick note, these are quite close up shots!

I was never a big fan of this particular bust, but it seems to be very popular.

Heya,

Over the weekend I attended my first ever painting workshop hosted by Darkmessiah. The tutor was none other than Volomir, an awesome miniature painter and an equally awesome guy.

Here is the Savage Ork I painted over the two day workshop, I'll be finishing him off over the next few days.

Also, I'll be writing a detailed review of the weekend workshop either tonight or tomorrow evening, which I will be posting on my Blog for anyone thats interested to read!

Without further ado, I present my Savage Ork Wip;
